The Australian Coalition of Apostolic Leaders (ACAL) is affiliated with the International Coalition of Apostolic Leaders (ICAL).
ICAL was birthed in Singapore in 1999 by a group of apostles who discussed how God could use the combined efforts of global apostolic leaders to advance the Kingdom of God more rapidly and effectively.
During the discussion, John P. Kelly was asked to assume leadership as Presiding Apostle for the new coalition and establish an office in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was directed to organise a council and begin inviting apostles to join the ICAL fellowship network. The first Annual Meeting was held near Dallas, Texas in 2000.
The first Australian gathering of apostolic leaders took place in 2009 in Canberra when John Macknamara was installed as the first national convenor of the Australian Coalition. Since its inception, the Australian Coalition has met each year in Canberra and successfully linked apostolic leaders across the nation.
In March 2015, John and Alaine McElroy from Perth were inducted as the new Australian National Convenors. Now our task is to establish ACAL’s presence and influence more strongly in each Australian state and territory. This will require seeking God, strengthening relationships, equipping leaders and developing strategies.
